How to Make PuTTY Settings Persistent
In some cases, in PuTTY, after changing the font, text color, background color…. for the current session. When you close and reopen a new session, the changes are reverted to default.
As you can see, we’ve changed the font and background color, but the settings reverted back to the original settings when close and reopening PuTTY.
To fix it, after making changes of font, text color, background color, foreground color…You need to:
- Select the Session option under the Category.
- Select a saved session in the saved session list. For example, select the Default Settings session.
- Select the Save button in the right side.
If you don’t select the session and click Save. The changes won’t save and the next time when you open a remote connection, everything will be reverted by default.
