After installed a Windows VM in VMware Workstation, you cannot set the VM screen to full screen.
To fix this, you need install the VMware Tools into the guest operating system.
1. While the VM is running, let’s right click on the VM tab then select Install VMware Tools…
2. The tools would be mounted into the VM as a DVD drive. Let’s open it then install the VMware Tools following the installation wizard.
3. Once done, restart your VM to take the changes go into effect.
